بجلی کے ٹیرف میں اضافے سے پیداواری لاگت کئی گنا بڑھ جائے گی جس سے مہنگائی کا نیا طوفان آئے گا ۔ اپنے بیان میں انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ درست ہے کہ ملک کے معاشی حالات انتہائی نازک ہیں لیکن ایسا نہیں ہونا چاہیے کہ اس کا سارا بوجھ عوام پر لادھ دیا جائے ۔
حکومت اپنی معاشی ٹیم کو متحرک کرے اور آمدن رکھنے والے لوگ اور شعبے جو ٹیکسز نہیں دے رہے ان سے ٹیکس لیا جائے لیکن عوام پر بجلی کے بلوں میں اضافے کی صورت میں مزید بوجھ نہ ڈالا جائے ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پیٹرولیم اور بجلی کی قیمتوں میں اضافے نے پسے ہوئے طبقات کیلئے مشکلات بڑھا دی ہیں اور اس کے آنے والے دنوں میں انتہائی منفی نتائج برآمد ہوں گے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت سے اپیل ہے کہ اس سلسلہ میں دوبارہ آئی ایم ایف سے رجوع کیا جائے اور غریب کیلئے بجلی کے نرخوں میں اضافے کی واپسی اور اسے سبسڈی دینے کے لئے قائل کیا جائے، بجلی کی تقسیم کار کمپنیاںاپنے لائن لاسز ایسے لوگوں سے وصول کر رہی ہیں جو باقاعدگی سے بلوں کی ادائیگی کرتے ہیں ۔ہم امید کرتے ہیں کہ حکومت عوام کی مشکلات کی فکرکرے گی اور بجلی کے بلوں میں حالیہ اضافے کو واپس لیا جائے گا۔
