ایک انٹرویو میں خواجہ آصف نے کہا کہ چیئرمین پی ٹی آئی اِن ہنگاموں میں 200 فیصد ملوث تھے، ذمہ دار یہ بالکل نہیں کہہ سکتے کہ انہیں تو پتہ ہی نہیں تھا۔ ان ہنگاموں کے پیچھے اندرونی و بیرونی طاقتیں تھیں۔وزیر دفاع نے کہا کہ شرپسندی کرنے والے اب انسانی حقوق کی آڑ لینے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ خواجہ آصف نے واضح کیا کہ دہری شہریت کے حامل جو افراد پاکستان میں مقیم ہیں ان پر بھی ہمارے قانون کا اطلاق لازمی ہوگا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ایک ہی دن پی ٹی آئی قیادت اورکارکنوں نیا?رمی تنصیبات پر چڑھائی کی،پرتشدد واقعات کی قیادت پی ٹی آئی کے رہنما کر رہے تھے، جلاؤ گھیراؤ مکمل منصوبہ بندی کے تحت کیا گیا۔وزیر دفاع نے کہا کہ 9 مئی کے واقعات کو عام احتجاج کے طور پر نہ لیا جائے، میرے خیال میں 9 مئی کو بغاوت ہوئی تھی۔ انہوںنے کہاکہ آرمی چیف کی بات سوفیصد درست ہیکہ افواج اور عوام میں گہرا تعلق ہے۔
خواجہ آصف نے کہا کہ افغانستان کیساتھ اچھے تعلقات ہماری بڑی خواہش ہے، 5 سے 6 ملین افغان باشندوں کا بوجھ ہم نہیں اٹھا سکتے، ایسے افغان شہری پاکستان میں بیٹھے ہیں جنہیں اپنے وطن جانا چاہیے۔
