آگ بجھانے کے آپریشن میں سیکڑوں فائرانجنز، ہزاروں فائر فائٹرز، واٹر ٹینکر اور 60 طیارے حصہ لے رہے ہیں۔رپورٹس کے مطابق لاس اینجلس میں لگی آگ کو مشرقی علاقے کی طرف پھیلنے سے روکنے کے لیے طیاروں سے پانی اورآگ بجھانے والے مادے کا اسپرے کیا جارہا ہے۔ تیز ہواں کے تھپیڑوں کے باعث فائرفائٹرز کو مشکلات کا سامنا ہے۔ علاقائی حکام نے پبلک ہیلتھ ایمرجنسی کا اعلان کیا ہے اور دھوئیں کے باعث دور دراز علاقوں میں بھی ہزاروں افراد کو اپنے گھر چھوڑنا پڑے ہیں۔
امریکہ کے محکمہ موسمیات (نیشنل ویدر سروس) خبردار کیا ہے کہ سانتا اینا کی تیز ہوائیں صورتحال کو خراب کر سکتی ہیں۔ لاس اینجلس اور وینٹورا کانٹیز میں پیر کے آخر سے منگل کی صبح تک 30 میل فی گھنٹہ کی رفتار سے ہوائیں چلنے کا امکان ہے جن کی رفتار کسی بھی وقت 70 میل فی گھنٹہ ہو سکتی ہے۔ شدید موسمی حالات کے باعث آگ کے مسلسل بڑھنے کا خدشہ ہے۔
