ترجمان دفترخارجہ ممتاز زہرا بلوچ نے میڈیا بریفنگ میں کہا کہ خدیجہ شاہ کی دہری شہریت کی وجہ سے امریکی سفارتخانے نے قونصلر رسائی کی درخواست کی جو وزارت داخلہ کو بھجوا دی گئی ہے۔ترجمان نے کہاکہ 9 مئی کے واقعات میں ملوث کرداروں کے ساتھ آئین اور قانون کے مطابق سلوک کیا جا رہا ہے، پاکستان آئین اور قانون کے مطابق چلنے والا ملک ہے، پاکستان میں تمام شہریوں کو بنیادی حقوق حاصل ہیں، پاکستان میں انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں کے الزامات بے بنیاد ہیں۔

دفترخارجہ کی ترجمان نے کہا کہ انسداد دہشتگردی پر پاکستان ، چین اور ایران کے سہ فریقی مذاکرات ہورہے ہیں، بیجنگ میں ہونے والے مذاکرات میں پاکستانی وفد کی قیادت ڈی جی کاؤنٹر ٹیررازم کررہے ہیں۔ترجمان نے کہا کہ کشمیر میں بھارتی افواج کا ظلم و ستم جاری ہے، عالمی برادری سے ایک بار پھر مسئلہ کشمیر کو اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں کے مطابق حل کرنے کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں۔

ترجمان نے کہاکہ وزیر خارجہ بلاول بھٹو زرداری نے عراق کا پہلا دورہ مکمل کرلیا، بلاول بھٹو نے عراق میں سرکاری حکام، بزنس کمیونٹی سے ملاقات اور زیارات کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ ترجمان کے مطابق پاکستان نے عراق میں بحالی اور امن کے لیے ہر ممکن تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی،
