منگل کو شمسی توانائی سے متعلق کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے کہا کہ روس اور یوکرین کے درمیان جنگ کے نتیجے میں تیل کی قیمتیں آسمان سے باتیں کرنے لگیں جس کی وجہ سے پاکستان جیسے ترقی پذیر ملک کو چیلنجز کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ہے۔وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ اس سال 27 ارب ڈالر کا ایندھن خریدنا پڑا جو کہ پاکستان جیسے ملک کیلئے بڑا چیلنج ہے اور اس کے علاوہ جنگ کے نتیجے میں گیس کی سپلائی میں بھی خلل آیا ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اس جنگ کے باعث گیس کی نرخوں میں بھی اضافہ ہوا ہے،یورپ کو جانے والی گیس میں خلل آنے سے ترقی یافتہ ممالک منہ مانگی نرخوں پر گیس خرید رہے ہیں جس سے پاکستان جیسے ملک کیلئے مزید مشکلات بڑھ رہی ہیں۔وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ کورونا وباء میں جب گیس اور تیل کی قیمتیں بالکل نیچے آگئی تھیں تو اس وقت کی حکومت نے غفلت کی اور اس پر کوئی سنجیدگی نہیں دکھائی اور اب صورتحال یہ ہے کہ گیس ملنا محال ہوگیا ہے جبکہ تیل کی قیمتیں بڑھ گئی ہیں۔
وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ 15 برس میں کسی حکومت نے اصلاحات نہیں کیںجس سے گردشی قرضہ بڑھتا گیا اور مہنگی بجلی بنائی جاتی رہی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ بجلی کی مد میں 25 سو ارب روپے کا گردشی قرض ہو چکا ہے جبکہ وفاقی حکومت کا پی ایس ڈی پی 7 سو ارب روپے ہے، مزید کہا کہ اب گیس کا بھی گردشی قرضہ بڑھنے شروع ہوگیا ہے۔
